One week residential program
June 23-28, 2019
Students entering grade 10, 11, and 12
From epidemics and emergency medicine, to child survival and food supply, are you interested in learning about how scientists, researchers and clinicians respond to pressing issues in Global Health today? The Global Health Institute gives you the unique opportunity to explore how internationally recognized experts on the UF campus investigate and devise solutions to global problems. A day will be devoted to each of the following: infectious disease and emerging pathogens; global public health; environment, climate science and food security; and children’s health. Building your knowledge of science and social issues, as a participant you’ll engage in the research process first hand – from problem identification, to investigation, to intervention – and develop the framework to understand and tackle today’s global health challenges.
