Biomedical Curriculum Series

CPET is pleased and very excited to officially release our Biomedical Curriculum Series!  The series consists of curricular units developed by CPET staff members and B2B Curriculum Fellows fellows participating in the Summer Research Experience (an intensive 3-week program whereby teachers intern in a research laboratory and work together to develop units translating their research experiences into a classroom friendly module).  Each curriculum is hands-on and inquiry-based, stressing collaborative learning and incorporating biotechnology applications as well as nature of science components and 21st century skills. Furthermore each unit is comprised of stand-alone lessons, so you may pick and choose how much or how little to incorporate!  While our graphically designed units represent completed modules, please note that the others are a work in progress and therefore not perfect – yet!

The Biomedical Curriculum Series was developed as part of Biomedical Explorations: Bench to Bedside, which was supported by the National Center for Research Resources and the Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives of the National Institutes of Health through Grant Number R25RR023294.  Additional support provided by the University of Florida (UF) and the UF Center for Precollegiate Education and Training.
