Ms. Deborah Paulin, Assistant Director
Deborah Paulin is Assistant Director of University Youth Programs at the University of Florida Center for Precollegiate Education and Training. She has a bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida. Prior to her arrival at UF-CPET, Deborah was Director of Educational Programs and Consulting Services for the Center for Applications of Psychological Type. For over 14 years Deborah has co-directed UF's Student Science Training Program, the Florida Regional Junior Science, Engineering and Humanities Symposium, Gator Lab, and other UF Youth Programs. Deborah was appointed to the Academy of Applied Science National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium's Regional Director's Executive Council in 1995 and was elected chair of that committee at the national meeting in April 2001. She is a member of the University of Florida Incentive Efficiency Program Committee, and of the Academy of Applied Science Junior Science Advisory Board. She has also served as a moderator for the National Science Bowl competition since 1998. In July 2000 Deborah was Head of the United States Delegation to the London Youth Science Fortnight. She accompanied nine delegates, including the eight winners of the National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium to London where they joined 240 student delegates from 60 countries for two weeks of scientific presentation, travel and cultural exchange.
