Ms. Deborah Paulin, Assistant Director
Deborah Paulin is Assistant Director of University Youth Programs at the University of Florida’s Center for Precollegiate Education and Training. She has a bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida. Prior to her arrival at UF-CPET, Deborah was Director of Educational Programs and Consulting Services for the Center for Applications of Psychological Type. She is a professional trainer for the Myers Briggs Type Indicator®. For over 18 years Deborah has co-directed UF's Student Science Training Program, the Florida Regional Junior Science, Engineering and Humanities Symposium, Gator Lab, The Recognition Ceremony for the Duke Talent Identification Program and other UF Youth Programs. Deborah was appointed to the Academy of Applied Science’s National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium's (NJSHS) Regional Director's Executive Council in 1995 and was elected chair of that committee at the national meeting in April 2001. Deborah served as a moderator for the National Science Bowl competition from 1998 to 2000. In July 2000 she was Head of the United States Delegation to the London Youth Science Fortnight, accompanying nine delegates, including the eight NJSHS winners to London where they joined 240 student delegates from 60 countries for two weeks of scientific presentations, travel and cultural exchange.
