Science Information for Teachers (SIFT)
The internet has become a powerful tool for use in the classroom as well as for teachers preparing lessons. Copious materials are available if only we have time to sift through the internet to find them.
Here is where SIFT (Science Information for Florida Teachers) comes in. The SIFT listserve is a free service to science teachers to help in that time consuming process. SIFT will allow Florida science teachers and other science educators to easily gain information about recommended educational site visits, useful internet sites, professional development workshops, grant opportunities, or ask questions about resources they are searching for.
SIFT is a "moderated listserve", this means that the messages sent to SIFT will be "sifted" for spam, e-mail mistakes, submission mistakes, inappropriate submissions and any other errors (that add to your daily e-mail inbox overload) before being distributed to those who are subscribed to the list.
For your security, NO e-mail addresses of information providers are forwarded to the SIFT recipients unless you specifically request us to put your e-mail address in the body of your submission, but that is the only way your e-mail address will be distributed to ANYONE.
For those that do not want a large number of e-mail messages arriving each day, they can choose to receive a once weekly digest of the mailings in one e-mail. In addition, each month's postings are archived online for later reference.

| To unsubscribe from SIFT: | E-mail sift@cpet.ufl.edu and say "unsubscribe". |
If you have something of interest you would like to be distributed to the SIFT members, send an e-mail to sift@cpet.ufl.edu describing it, and it will be distributed.
We invite you to join us in this endeavor. Send an e-mail to subscribe!
