Science Quest
2004
The 48 participants of this year’s program were gifted tenth grade students, representing 20 counties and 57 schools in Florida and two participants from out of state. Each was selected because of an expressed interest in science and a demonstrated motivation to achieve in the classroom.
Science Quest immerses students in various science disciplines to stimulate interest and appreciation for the range of college and career opportunities. Students experience college life by living in a campus dorm, by attending a variety of short lectures, by participating in demonstrations and hands-on activities, by visiting research laboratories and other facilities, and by doing science experiments.
