Energy

Special Explorations for Teachers and Students (SETS)

Energy

Energy is something we all need to operate our modern conveniences.  Some ideas have been more successful than others. The students may visit the Solar Energy Research Park and see the evolution of solar energy and its applications today. Another means of generating energy is through nuclear fission. Visiting an operational nuclear reactor, the students will learn about nuclear energy, its production and use in many applications. Additionally, students may visit a research laboratory trying to harness the energy from hydrogen fuel.

This exploration can be adjusted to suit the academic level of the class.

The cost of this Exploration is $150.
