The 2009 Mini Medical School at the University of Florida will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 8:30am-3:30pm. This one-day in-service is an opportunity for middle and high school teachers to experience some of the many facets of the University of Florida College of Medicine. The program combines visits to clinical and research laboratories, brief lectures, networking with peers, exchange of best teaching practices, and career panel discussions.
This year’s program will focus on immunology as we highlight some of the breakthough advances in research and clinical practice. Numerous faculty and clinicians housed in the McKnight Brain Institute and Shands at UF will participate in this exciting event. We invite you to join us for an exciting professional development opportunity, where health care professionals and teachers share knowledge and insight to better educate the scientists and health care leaders of tomorrow.
The brochure and registration form are available on-line at http://www.cpet.ufl.edu/mms or participants may register by sending an email with the information listed below. Space is limited.
