Junior Science, Engineering and Humanities Symposium (JSEHS)
How to Nominate a Speaker

To nominate a student to speak, a science, math or computer teacher with first-hand knowledge of the student's research and speaking skills submits a letter to the JSEHS Speaker Selection Committee stating why the student should be considered for the competition. Nomination letters are due on or before October 17, 2008.

Upon receipt of the nomination letter, CPET sends the nominating teacher a packet of forms and information for the speaker nominee. The speaker nominee must return the required forms, abstract, and research paper on or before November 14, 2008.

The Selection Committee reviews the abstracts and research papers and selects 20 speakers for the 2009 competition. Selected speakers are notified by telephone. JSEHS program fees are waived for the 11-12th grade speakers and their nominating teachers.
