Excursions in Science
“Excursions in Science” is an online and CD-ROM based series of interviews with Science Researchers at the University of Florida. The programs are aimed at middle and high school students and produced by the Center for Precollegiate Education and Training (CPET) at the University of Florida. Although the series is in its infancy, it contains programs on Pesticides, Mercury Pollution, and various Biotechnology Techniques. Future additions will include research programs about Marine Mammals and Manatee research.
Although the “Excursions in Science” is available online, it requires a high bandwidth connection and was originally designed as stand-alone CD’s for use by students in the classroom or media center.
