Dual Credit Enrollment
General Information
Dual Enrollment students are classified as Non-Degree Seeking students and as such, enroll on a space available basis on the first day of Drop/Add for the semester in which the student wishes to take a class. There is no guarantee that the student will be able to get in to any particular class.
Correspondence Studies/Flexible Learning Courses DO NOT qualify as Dual Credit Enrollment Courses.
Courses may NOT be taken on a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory or Pass/Fail basis.
UF Housing is not available for dual enrollment students.
Dual Enrollment students are ineligible for UF parking decals and are unable to park on campus.
Tuition for undergraduate-level courses is waived by the state of Florida for Dual Credit Enrollment students.
Dual Enrollment students from private high schools are responsible for the costs of their own textbooks while the county school boards of public high school Dual Enrollment students cover the cost of those students’ books and are billed directly by the UF Bookstore. This is for textbooks only and does not cover calculators, CD-ROMs or other materials.
Dual Enrollment students are eligible to get a Gator-1 student ID card ($15 cost). With a Gator-1 card, dual enrollment students may do the following: use all campus libraries and access periodical databases, use Gator Dining and pre-paid vending accounts, free RTS bus rides, use the Student Health Care Center, use CIRCA computer labs and recreational facilities such as Lake Wauburg.
Transcripts are automatically mailed to the students’ high school guidance counselor following the completion of the semester for inclusion in the students’ high school records. This is an automatic process handled by UF’s dual enrollment office. Transcripts for inclusion in application packets to universities must be requested by the student through the UF Registrar’s office: http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/transcript.html
Aside from the immunization requirement (which is only required once), the entire UF Dual Enrollment registration process must be completed each and every semester the student wishes to dual enroll.
The Schedule of Courses is published online several months prior to the start of each semester. You can find this schedule at http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/soc
